2余人在Change.org网站上签订了一个请愿书，尖锐地批评辛辛那提警察局和动物园牺牲了动物，并呼吁孩子的父母要“对自己的不监督孩子的行为负责。”
CincinnatipoliceonSundaysaidtheparentshadnotbeencharged,butthatchargescouldeventuallybesoughtbytheHamiltonCountyProsecutingAttorney.Authoritiesdidnotidentifythechildorhisparents.ThefamilycouldnotbereachedonSunday.

AFacebookpagetitled“JusticeforHarambe”hadmorethan3,likesbySundayafternoon,adayafterthe-pound(-kg)gorillawasshotdeadabout10minutesafterencounteringanddraggingthechild.Theanimal,namedHarambe,wasaWesternlowlandgorilla,anendangeredspecies（濒危物种）,andthezoosaidithadintendedto（打算）usehimforbreeding（繁殖）.
在大猩猩被枪杀10分钟后，一个名为“为Harambe寻求正义”的Facebook页面下有3多人点赞。Harambe是西部低地大猩猩，是一种濒危物种，动物园说还打算利用它进行繁殖。
